After the Olympics last year, the final race of the ITU World Triathlon Series was in Auckland in October so I decided to stay on in New Zealand and travel around in a camper van. New Zealand is a stunning place and it was great to go camping, hiking and rafting. We saw mountains, lakes and volcanic scenery. I remember putting my hand in a stream - the water was so hot it was smoking.
